Emily A. Francis is the author of 5 self-help books. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science and Wellness with a minor in nutrition and a Masters of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Human Performance.

 

She graduated from the Atlanta School of Massage in clinical and neuromuscular massage therapy and went on to specialize through the Dr Vodder School North America in manual lymphatic drainage and combined decongestive therapy, working specifically with lymphedema. She has completed level 1 and 2 of Upledger Craniosacral Therapy. Emily is a Usui & Karuna Ki Reiki Master level practitioner. She is also the creator of the Somatic Emotion Chart and the Muscle Emotion Chart.

Since moving to Malta, Emily has focused on sharing the island's food culture, seasonal produce, and local traditions through her writing, interviews, and media collaborations. Through her column Emily in Malta and projects with Visit Malta, she highlights the people, produce, and stories that make Mediterranean life so unique.

Emily now combines her work as an author and storyteller with her passion for culture, community, and seasonal living. Her upcoming book, Seasons of Malta: A Year-Round Guide to Local Produce, celebrates the people and traditions that have inspired her journey on the islands.
